A “MUST” for every animal lover. If you didn’t care much for the aquatic world before, after a visit to SEA WORLD you will probably see nature with different eyes. I must confess that before I visited SEA WORLD I had a somewhat uneasy feeling at the thought that these fantastic animals must live there in captivity. However, after my first visit I think differently and I am an enthusiastic “SEA WORLD fan”.
So the principle of SEA-WORLD cannot be compared with a normal zoo. The main focus is on researching the behavior of these marine animals and how they can be protected in the future. In addition, sick or injured animals are taken in, nursed back to health and released back into the wild if possible. SEA WORLD is the world’s largest research center for marine animals.
SEA WORLD’s mission statement is:
We will love only what we understand.
We will understand only what we are taught.”

The whole park is built under this motto and although everything is a very lovingly designed show, the educational thought is always present here in the background. By the way, the enclosures you can see are only about one fifth of the total size. An attempt is made to make life in the park as interesting and as species-appropriate as possible for the animals. For example, the animals are not always fed at the same time, in the same place, and the enclosures are rearranged from time to time. Thus there is always something new to discover and furthermore there is enough occupation and toys provided.
If you are interested in more information you have the possibility to participate in different guided tours.
