Disney World in Orlando
If you visit Florida, you will surely plan some time for the attractions in Orlando.
Since you can read endless information about the parks in Orlando in any travel guide, we would like to give you just a few small tips from our experience:
From Sarasota you have a driving distance of about 2 hours to Orlando. It is therefore possible to visit the parks in single day trips. This has the advantage that you can always take some rest days between the visits. The impressions are enormous (not only for children), so it will be very exhausting if you visit everything in a row.
But if you prefer to make the trip only once, there are countless hotels in Orlando in all price ranges. If you are a member of ADAC, you can pre-book a hotel in the desired price range with AAA.
If you are willing to spend more on accommodation, you can stay in one of the great Disney hotels. This has the great advantage that anytime you need a break, you can take a bus back to your hotel and relax in your room, by the pool or in a lounge chair. Disney World has a superbly organized bus system that will get you to all the Disney Parks quickly and conveniently at any time. If you have the “Disney Unlimited Magic Passport” you are flexible and can make your stay there very pleasant and relaxing. You can get this passport at a discount if you stay at a Disney hotel. It allows unlimited admission to all Disney Parks.
For information, contact either AAA (as an ADAC member) at phone # 407 934 7639 or disneyworld.disney.go.com.
Of course, you can pre-book your hotel room through the many hotel booking websites.
Brochures are available at any Tourist Office or Chamber of Commerce.
