about Manasota Key

Manasota Key is a quiet island south of Venice. The northern and central parts of the island are still in Sarasota County in Englewood. You’ll find only private, single-family homes there. A narrow road winds nearly nine miles through beautiful scenery. Similar to Casey Key, many of the homes have a private beach on the Gulf and a boat dock on the bay side of the island. At the northern end, Manasota Beach Road leads onto the island and there is a public beach just after the bridge. The southern part of the island is in the southern community, Charlotte County. More condo complexes, restaurants and stores are located there. Stump Pass Beach State Park is located at the southern tip of Manasota Key. There you will find beach access and nature trails.
