Sarasota-Online is an independent online platform developed to showcase the diverse lifestyle, culture and opportunities of the Sarasota area. With a focus on clarity, quality and reliability, the portal brings together essential local information in one convenient place – from restaurants, shops and service providers to attractions, events and community resources.

Since we had already spent beach vacations in Hawaii, Mexico and Jamaica, we wanted to book beach vacations in 1998, but we didn’t want to fly so far. Our travel agent then recommended, “why don’t you travel to Florida?”, the flight takes only about 10 hours. Why not, we thought, and immediately booked an apartment for 4 weeks at the Resort at Longboat Key Club.

Through a friend we were then able to rent a nice vacation home in Bird-Key from 2013 and since 2019 we are now, a little further south, on the great Little Sarasota Bay.

In all these years we made so our experiences, which we publish here on Sarasota-Online.
