The pass on the southeast side is popular among fishermen, while families enjoy their trips in the shade of large Australian pines. Abundant free parking, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, volleyball courts, and barbecue sites, which are also frequented by raccoons. Due to strong currents, swimming is prohibited as there are no lifeguards in this section of the beach. The sunsets are spectacular! Most hotels have a magnificent view of the Gulf of Mexico.
