Every November, 24 international artists come to Siesta Key, Florida, to compete in this Master Sand Sculpting competition. The sculptors create a large community carve, 8 solo sculptures and 8 team sculptures from tons of sand. The timed competition is judged and the winners are revealed on Sunday afternoon. And there’s other attractions at this festival: The Learning Curve – a science and craft activity for kids; 4 days of live bands under the huge entertainment tent; Quick Sand – an ongoing contest of speed and skill; the Amateur Competition on Saturday; plus a party tent with music and a bar, a huge Vendor Village and many great food options open to the public.
