The Sarasota Orchestra is one of Florida’s most respected cultural institutions and a cornerstone of the vibrant arts scene in Sarasota. Founded in 1949, it is the oldest continuously operating orchestra in the state of Florida and performs more than 100 concerts each year, ranging from classical masterworks to pops, chamber music, and community programs.

Based at the Beatrice Friedman Symphony Center in downtown Sarasota, the orchestra brings together a talented ensemble of more than 70 professional musicians who perform across several venues throughout the region, including major concert halls and cultural landmarks.

Under the artistic leadership of Grammy-winning conductor Giancarlo Guerrero, the Sarasota Orchestra continues to expand its artistic vision while connecting audiences with inspiring live performances.
