Coquina Beach is on the south end and is the longest expanse of beach on Anna Maria, with plenty of free parking, lifeguards, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms and showers. Remnants of old piers, jut out into the water, which make “beach walking” difficult. This stretch of beach is where mostly younger groups of people congregate, listening to the music they brought, just sunbathing or playing frisbee. Dolphins are not often spotted far from fishermen. There is plenty of parking, shady trees and a breathtaking sunset here as well.
